Rip Off Britain and the problem of “flushable” wipes

I enjoyed joining presenter Julia Somerville, Producer Katie Saatchi, and Water UK's Leila Swan on the BBC's Rip Off Britain to discuss "flushable" wipes.

I enjoyed contributing to Julia Somerville and the Rip Off Britain team’s investigation into why some brands continue to label their wet wipes as “flushable” despite the major drain blockages caused by wet wipes that cost millions to repair every year.

The episode featured one woman whose garden was flooded with sewage thanks to such a blockage, and who says “enough is enough”.

Thanks to Producer Katie Saatchi for inviting me, and it was great to be joined in the round-table discussion by Katie, and Water UK’s Leila Swan, and to meet the other Rip Off Britain presenters, and team members.

You can watch the episode on the BBC iPlayer, here.
